About Us

Mindful hub is an on-line community designed to cultivate and support mindfulness and related stress reduction skills.  Mindful hub is specifically designed for busy people and the health professionals who serve them.  Our goal is to encourage you to slow down, calm down and lead a more meaningful and examined life. The blog writings, forum, audio and video clips, and on-line courses will all engender a peaceful core within the individual, increase life satisfaction and ultimately foster a calmer world.

Our free worksheets are designed for health professionals and individuals who want to incorporate mindfulness into daily living.

Mindful hub was created by Donna Torney, a licensed psychotherapist and registered yoga teacher based in Boston, Massachusetts (Click here for a complete description of Donna’s counseling practice). Donna uses Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction and Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy, two scientifically validated treatment modalities to treat children, teens and adults working through anxiety, depression and trauma. In addition to her formal training in psychological counseling, Donna has trained with Rick Hanson, Jon and Myla Kabat-Zinn, Dan Seigel, Susan Woods, Tara Brach and YongeyMingyur Rinpoche, all leaders in the study and practice of mindfulness, as well as modern yoga luminaries Shiva Rea, Sarah Powers, and David Emerson of the Boston University Trauma Center. She has combined these trainings into a unique approach to therapy and wellness.
